Eat Free Meal Deals For Mother’s Day 2012

There’s nothing wrong with looking for free meal deals for mom to eat free on Mother’s Day, in fact, mom will appreciate you looking out for the family budget as long as you pick a place that she likes to eat. Be careful not to just pick a place to take mom because of the deal, she has to be on board with the restaurant you choose.

Below are some restaurants that are offering free meal deals or eat free on Mother’s Day specials. I also like to visit Restaurant.com to see what restaurants in my area are offering gift certificates. Just last weekend, I snagged a $50 gift certificate for $4 to a nearby restaurant that was advertising on Restaurant.com. With that certificate, my husband and I were able to take the family out–seven of us–to lunch after my daughter’s First Holy Communion ceremony for only $98. Be sure to run a Google search for Restaurant.com promotion codes if you are thinking of getting yourself one of these certificates. More often than not, there is a promotion code that will give you a further discount on the already great restaurant deals.

Food For A Fraction Of The Cost

Champps Restaurant: Moms that come in Mother’s Day weekend will receive a card loaded with$10 off a $25 purchase on the first of every month (while supplies last).

Texas Roadhouse: This isn’t an eat free on Mother’s Day deal, however, Texas Roadhouse is offering the Texas Roadhouse Getaway For Two Sweepstakes. Just enter to win a 2-night stay in Dove Mountain, Marana, Arizona including roundtrip airfare for two.

Beef O’Brady’s: Not only do moms eat free this Mother’s day, but dads eat free on Father’s Day too! The entree can be up to a $10 value.

TCBY: Free yogurt for mom on Mother’s Day! Check your local TCBY to make sure they are participating.

IKEA: Moms can receive a free breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon, and potatoes and a cup of coffee on Mother’s Day. Good from opening until 11:00am on May 13, 2012. Limit one per family.

Spin Out of Control With Starbucks Espresso Twice, Half the Price Promotion

Starbucks just launched their Espresso Twice, Half the Price promotion yesterday. Here’s the scoop: If you buy an espresso drink by 11 am, bring your receipt back after 2pm (because your caffeine high will have left you flat and brain dead by that point and you will need to replenish your energy tank to tackle the rest of the work day, or survive the “witching” hour when your kids get home from school) for half off any espresso drink.

I say go for the venti for that afternoon espresso drink! Why not spin out of control into the early evening and leave everyone who encounters you from the hours of 2-7, exhausted and wishing you would just go away! I don’t stop for a morning Starbucks jolt. I just make an afternoon visit to the Starbucks in my nearby Target at around 3 pm. I only ever get a tall, nonfat, no whip Mocha. That seems to be enough to energize me through the rest of the afternoon and right up until happy hour! Just kidding, folks (um, not really).

Thanks, Starbucks for this promotion, but I’m going to have to pass. I feel extremely guilty stopping at Starbucks twice in one day. I’ve only ever done it a few times and I’m sure I had a really good reason why I did it. Not even a half-priced drink in the afternoon will make me give up my morning Keurig coffee. However, if you’re diggin’ this promotion then you better act fast. You only have until March 14 to over caffeinate your body and get more done at work than you have all year!

Maggiano’s Little Italy Takes Birthdays Very Seriously

I woke up this morning to a nice email from Maggiano’s Little Italy. Since my birthday is next week, the birthday goodies from area restaurants are starting to pour in. Good thing I signed up for all those email clubs!

This morning, Maggiano’s sent me an email with a coupon link  that gives me $10 off my next visit to their restaurant. It’s a one-time use coupon that allows me to take $10 off any check of $30 or more. It’s for dine-in only and only one certificate per table can be used.

I have one month to use this coupon.  Good thing because I’m going to have a lot of restaurants to visit over the next month with all the coupons and birthday freebies I’m receiving!

Sign up for Maggiano’s email club as well as other eat for free on your birthday restaurants!

Rita’s Free Water Ice Giveaway

Once again, Rita’s Water Ice is giving away free water ice on the first day of spring, March 20, 2012.

There’s a Rita’s right near my daughter’s school and every year on the first day of spring, we hope to stop by after school to get our free water ice, but the line is always so long, and the parking lot is always too full so we end up just riding by.  However, we do make a Rita’s stop the following day.  Yes, I end up having to pay , but it’s hard to pass up that first taste of water ice to celebrate the arrival of spring!
